Paws for a Cause Service Dog Park

Purpose of the park

The service dog park provides an accepting and welcoming environment on Miami University’s campus for people with service dogs and service dogs in training (SDiT). The service dog park is aligned with the goals and values of the student organization, Paws for a Cause, and is believed to help raise awareness of service dogs and their importance. This park will be a great place for service dogs and SDiTs to run and play.

Access to the Park

The park will be made available to all service dogs and service dogs in training (SDiTs). This means that both students with service dogs and members of the community or visitors with service dogs will have permission to use the facility. Approved handlers will be provided a code to the gate for entry. SDiTs through any of our three organizations will be required to vacate the premises in the case that a working service dog comes to utilize the park.

Features of the Park

This park is located by Cook Field.  The park features:

  • 7200 sq feet of accessible, fenced green space

  • coded + gated entry

  • lighting and electricity

  • double-gated entrance

  • pet waste station
